This is being jointly organized by the people behind the “Anti-Epal” and “SuporTADO ka namin” Facebook pages.

Description: Leisurely bike ride (approximately 2hrs) through the streets of Districts 3 & 4 of Quezon City to take pictures of EPALiticians’ tarps, signs, etc.

Date and time: 01 July 2012 (Sunday), assembly time: 5:45am, departure 6:00am; expected time of completion: 8am

Meeting Place: Shell, Katipunan Ave. (across from La Vista/Miriam); look out for the “Anti-Epal” flag.

Route: maps of the route will be distributed at the assembly time (Districts 3 & 4 of Quezon City)

Things to remember:
- wear appropriate attire, including protective gear
- ride defensively and respect all traffic laws, rules and regulations
- make sure you’re properly hydrated and bring your own water
- bring a camera/cellphone camera so you can take photos of EPALiticians’ names and faces

100km: Open/Elite (10 hours cut off time)

  • Male: 16~19 yrs, 20~29, 30~39, 40~49, 50 & above
  • Open to everybody

50km: Executive (6 hours cut off time)

  • Male: 16~19 yrs, 20~29, 30~39, 40~49, 50 & above
  • Female: 16~19 yrs, 20~29, 30~39, 40 & above
  • Exclusive for the executives, novices & weekend warriors

Race Course Details:

  • The course will be a 10km loop inside the forest
    • 10 laps for 100km
    • 5 laps for 50km


Awards and Prizes:

  • Medals and Cash prizes will be awarded to the Overall Top Three in Male and Female Categories on the 100km and 50km distances.
  • Medals and prizes will be awarded to the top three in each age group.
  • Age groups winners will be determined after getting the top 3 in each category.

Registration Fee: Free

We will be lighting up 10,000 homes this November 30 with the solar bottle bulb. One part of the event is the bike parade from Camp Aguinaldo to Pinaglabanan Shrine, then to four communities in San Juan to deliver and install around 1000 solar bottle bulbs. Bikers will get a musette bag to use in transporting the bottle bulbs, safe transit from MMDA and San Juan City Task Force marshals, water stations, among others. There is NO REGISTRATION FEE, but we’ll need people to register just so we know how many bikers to expect.

The Tour of Hope is an international non-profit initiative of like-minded individuals who regularly set up biking tours as a charity project to help in fun raising efforts and awareness campaigns. This year, The Tour of Hope Philippines 2011 will be cycling from Quezon City to Laoag City on May 28 to June 1 to raise awareness and to support and prevention of cervical cancer in the Philippines.

Philmofo Gift Giving Ride with Ms. Kara David

On February 26 2011, Kara David, PhilMoFo and Rimpy’s Boys from 199 Offroad House will hold a big gift giving ride for the Aetas.

Ms. Kara David of I-Witness, GMA 7 is joining with her Project Malasakit Staff together with the GMA 7 TV crew to cover the event to be aired on March 2011 over a new program at QTV 11.

There will be around 55 Dumagat families who will benefit from this project.

Tour of the Fireflies 2010: I Vote to Bike

The Tour of the Fireflies is happening on April 18, Sunday, 7am-1.00pm. We’ll be riding through 7 cities in Metro Manila and 7 cities outside Metro Manila.

Theme: I VOTE TO BIKE

Rationale: Remind Filipinos that an act as simple as riding a bicycle to work, to school, to dates… is an act of being makabayan… no pollution is produced and one saves dollar reserves because there is no reliance on expensive imported fuel.
