The Save Agno River Movement is a network of conservation leaders, groups and individuals working together towards the preservation of the Agno River through the empowerment of the people of Benguet and Pangasinan. As a network, it promotes collaboration and innovative ways to educate the general public about the destruction of Agno River, its tributaries and the surrounding mountain ranges which primarily sustain the livelihood of the majority of people in Benguet and Pangasinan. Through our programs, we seek to be catalyst for positive change for the people of communities alongside Agno River in Benguet and Pangasinan.
AGNO RIVER Trek2Protect is a maiden project of the Save Agno River Movement in partnership with Mountain Climbers Alliance of the Philippines, Monkeyneering, and Philippine Mountaineering.
The Diocese of Lingayen-Dagupan through its bishop, His Eminence Bishop Soc Villegas, and the Local Government Units of the Municipality of Itogon, Benguet and the Province of Pangasinan, including their local tourism offices also fully supports the endeavors of the event.
AGNO RIVER Trek2Protect aims to promote river trekking sports in the Philippines side-by-side to protect and conserve the Agno River, and the lives and livelihoods of its people.
Divided into 2 sports categories, Mountaineers and Bikers, embark on an adventure that saves.
River is Life! Let us enjoin a trail that leads toward empowering the people of Agno.
