I’ve always been fascinated as to what the buzz is all about with the 29er bikes. The 29er bikes use the bigger 29″ wheels as against the 26″ wheels of the regular mountain bikes.
The most common feedback I get from 29er owners is that they like the 29ers’ geometry because the frame gives them a somewhat relaxed albeit a more natural position while on the saddle especially for the taller riders.
Weight weenie riders often shy away from 29ers because of the added weight brought about by the larger frame size, wheel size, fork, and the list goes on.
I dropped by Gran Trail Cycles in Makati recently and store managerĀ Benj Lopez showed me his Niner Air 9 Carbon bike build. I was having my biked tuned and Benj offered that I take his Air 9 for a quick spin and I quickly obliged
