Join cyclists all over the planet on December 6, 2009 demonstrating the willingness and capacity of ordinary people to take action on dangerous climate change. Help urge the government delegations at the Climate Change negotiations in Copenhagen on December 7, 2009 to take action as well.

Critical Mass Ride in Gensan

Bikers from Gen. Santos will be riding on major streets to promote bike commuting as an alternative vehicle for cleaner air on 28th of November, 2009 at Plaza Heneral Santos. The assembly time is 7am.

Please bring your bikes in Gensan and don’t forget the helmet. Gensan bike leaders are Mr. Noel Santos and Rue Ramas

Firefly Brigade November Critical Mass Ride

Bik-O! Folding Bikes on LRT Launch on November 8

November 4th, 2009

Project Bik-O will be launched where all folding bikes will be seen this Sunday, 10am at the Cubao Gateway Terminal of LRT2. There will be a short ceremony and some refreshments then will take the LRT to Legarda Station where will alight and  bike to Luneta.

A show of support from full bikes would be beneficial as hold future talks for bike parking and access at the LRT.

Folding Bikes in LRT

November 1st, 2009

Members of Firefly Brigade, UP Padyak, Tiklop Society met with the LRTA Head honchos. The meeting yielded the following results:

1) Folding bikes (size 16) in LRT 1 & 2 ok’d by Administrator Robles;

2) Folding Bikes Pre-testing schedules in LRT 1 & 2 on October 26;

3) A November Launch Date to officially allow folding bikes into the LRT 1 & 2 Lines;

Great milestone for stepping up the Philippines’ contribution to Climate Change Mitigation

Firefly Brigade’s October CMR support for Ms. Earth Foundation’s Bike and Row

Kita-kits sa ika-25 ng Oktubre, 2009 sa Mandaluyong City Hall alas-6:30 ng umaga para sa 30 km-critical mass ride  (BIKE) sa Mandaluyong- Makati at Pasay at rowing (ROW) sa Pasig River mula Maynila. Abangan ang pagtatagpo ng 2 grupo sa Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge kung saan tayo sabay-sabay na magpapahayag ng ating panindigan na mag-healthy living and active lifestyle!

Dahil malapit na ang halloween, may contest din para sa mga COSTUMED RIDERS! Pumunta bilang iyong paboritong prutas, gulay o kaya ay bilang isang dapat tularang indibidwal pagdating sa pamumuhay ng malinis at malusog. Pwede ring ipakita ang mga nakakatakot na epekto ng bad lifestyle habits.
