Assembly: In front of Palm Grove Hot Spring & Mountain Resort, Baguio City
Great Beer Ride Route:
Starting point is at the Nangalisan Bridge at the river. Route heads up all the way through Asin road past the BenCab Museum and the Baguio Trash Slide and heads through Suello Village into Marcos Highway where it turns left into Green valley and up to Mt. Cabuyao then straight to Mt. Sto Tomas to the top most relay where the turn around point is. From here you will turn around and head back to Mt Cabuyao and straight into the reservoir for the Finish line and Beer!
(Its not 100kms but it still involves a LOT of climbing approximately 2,000 m worth)

Entrance fee:

10 bottles of Cerveza Negra/Pale Pilsen/Red Horse/Tapuy/Basi

(Winner takes home 50% of the beer + Bragging rights -the rest is for the after race party)

 

Categories:

Men or Women -You can use 29er, fixie, Full Suspension, basically any kind of bicycle you would like as long as its with your own power.

When:

November 5, 2011 add your name @ Great Beer Ride event on FB if interested and just bring the beer to the starting line on November 5, 2011 -5am

Meeting point:
Front of Palm Grove hot spring as this is closer to the starting line of the race.

Rules:

Honesty Race -so no marshals you marshal yourself and follow the route that is set. Whoever wins only has their conscience to answer to. You get to the end knowing you went through the proper course and with your own power. :)

This race is all about having fun, there are no losers, and we all party at the end. Oh and the racer in the best costume gets a prize too! :)

The Globe Cordillera Challenge

“The Globe Cordillera Challenge” is a 40-km bike ride from Baguio City to La Trinidad in Benguet that aims to raise awareness and funds to reforest the Cordillera Mountains.

The event will be held on May 21, 2011. The bike ride will start at exactly 6:00am in Burnham park, Baguio City and will end at 3:00pm at the Provincial Capitol of Benguet, which is La Trinidad.

The primary beneficiary of the project is the Cordillera Conservation Trust (CCT). The Cordillera Conservation Trust is a non-stock, non-profit organization that seeks to develop environmental solutions and integrate modern sustainable development strategies to promote development in the Cordillera Mountain region that is in line with its unique ecological and cultural characteristics.

The activity aims to raise funds for at least 30,000 seedlings which will be planted in the Cordillera Mountains.
