      Where are you from?

      The large sizes are not readily available locally. However, if you already have a frame in mind, you can always order from your local bike shop.

      Are you looking for brand new frames or you are ok with pre loved ones?

      Hi Michael,

      We happen to be in the same boat. I still happen to have my trusty 15-year old KHS mountain bike frame with me which still has a standard headtube and v-brake bosses.

      Like you, I’ve also been on the look out for standard sized forks may it be suspension or rigid for as long as it has disc brake mounts.

      I’ve seen a couple of very old standard suspension forks but they tend to be just a bit too heavy and they only have v-brake bosses.

      With that predicament, my trusty 15-year old frame is still on a rigid setup using v-brakes. Kindly of like old school setup. It simple and it is light ;-) .

      However, if you really want to pursue in getting a standard sized fork with disc brake mounts and you are ok with a rigid one… you might want to consider having one custom made for you by Ave Maldea.

    Hi Hydrolmn,

    There aren’t a lot of high end bikes available for rent locally.

    I would recommend that you touch base with some of the local DH groups. Perhaps they have extra DH rigs they can lend to you and you can join them in their rides.

    How long will you be staying in Cebu and Manila?

    Let us know if you are up to it. We could probably help you out and hook you up with them.
