You are needed to help inspire more people to give donations to victims of Typhoon Sendong this Yuletide Season through the Ride and Rock Relief on 29 December, Yadu & B-Side at The Collective. Facebook event details here.

Dakila, Yadu and Wow Pinay with B-side, The Firefly Brigade, MTB.PH, Folding Bike Pilipinas and Tat-Tulungan will come together for the Ride and Rock Relief (for the Victims of Typhoon Sendong)

Everyone is welcome to participate and do their share.

RIDE

Cyclists will assemble at Yadu Store at 5pm to gather donations.
Ride out at 6:30pm around Makati Area.

We will be lighting up 10,000 homes this November 30 with the solar bottle bulb. One part of the event is the bike parade from Camp Aguinaldo to Pinaglabanan Shrine, then to four communities in San Juan to deliver and install around 1000 solar bottle bulbs. Bikers will get a musette bag to use in transporting the bottle bulbs, safe transit from MMDA and San Juan City Task Force marshals, water stations, among others. There is NO REGISTRATION FEE, but we’ll need people to register just so we know how many bikers to expect.

A kayak-bike-run fund-raising that will support the implementation of Taal Volcano Protected Landscape Management Plan 2010-2020, specifically Chapter 2: Water Quality. The Management Plan has undergone 42 community consultations and approved by the Protected Area Management Board.

The adventure race aims to raise funds to keep the water quality of Taal Lake within the Class B criteria for inland waters – recreation such as bathing swimming skin diving, non-motorized water sports – with no heavy influx of pollutants.

Organized by Pusod Inc, an NGO committed to implement the Taal Volcano Protected Landscape Management Plan in partnership with the Local Governments of Mataasnakahoy, Balete and Lipa City, also the Philippine Kayaking Association and Team Ganit.

“Bike for Lungs”, organized by The Philippine College of Chest Physician is a 21 Kilometer bicycle tour ride along 3 major cities in Metro Manila namely: Marikina City, Pasig City and Quezon City. The ride is open to everyone who can pedal at an average of 15-20 kph for approximately 2-3 hours from start to finish. The tour promotes awareness on the effect of smoking and pollution to our Lungs.

“Bike for Lungs” is in line with the celebration of the World COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) Day and World Spirometry Day. COPD is the 7th cause of death among Filipinos caused by smoking and outdoor pollution.

Special prizes will be given to best costume, oldest & youngest rider, biggest contingent, most colorful contingent and most symbolic rider. For those interested to join the costume awards must re-register before the tour starts to get bib numbers.
