For people on the go and those with an active lifestyle, it is important to keep all our things secured and protected especially our gadgets. We have to make sure that it can also withstand the various extreme activities that we do as well as the occasionally changing weather.

Having a durable protective casing or housing is a must for our precious gadgets especially our smart phones. With the active lifestyle that we bikers have, a perfect case should be able to protect our smartphones from dust, mud, water and a lot more!

Fortunately, Applewerkz who happens to be the official distributor of LifeProof here in the Philippines, sent us some of their products for a review. One of the products they sent us was a Lifeproof iPhone 4/4s Case with a bike mount. The timing was just right as we can have this tested during the Nuvali Dirtweekend 2012 race.

We asked for volunteers among the participants in the Nuvali Dirtweekend race the to try out Lifeproof Iphone 4/4s Case. Gerry Atamira,  an avid mountain biker and folding bike enthusiast, gladly obliged. We provided Gerry the Lifeproof casing as well as the bike mount. He used his personal iPhone 4 and tested it in the muddy trails of  the Nuvali Dirt Weekend Cross Country race held last November 10, 2012 at Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

After the race, I asked him what he can say about the product.

The Lifeproof’s size is just right for the iPhone, it wasn’t too bulky compared to the other casings. Even though it had a compact size it really served its purpose. The case not only protected my phone but it still maintained my iPhone’s functionalities. Although I was already in race mode, I didn’t miss a text and I was still able to answer calls. The race day started with downpour which made various parts of the trails VERY muddy. The case protected my phone from the rain. And I suffered a crash but my iPhone survived the race and so did I! This Lifeproof case is totally perfect for these kinds of rides.
