    What if a not so known city in the country will be hosting a national mountain biking competition in their humble tiny place?

    Yes, sirs, Sikad Ozamiz organizers are on its 1st step in the preparation for this year’s SIKAD OZAMIZ JULY 2010! A National Mountain Bike CROSS-COUNTRY & DOWNHILL Open Competition, that will traverse the ranges of the majestic Mt. Malindang, will take place sometime in July 2010 with a bigger preparation and prizes as some national companies wish to be partners of these upcoming National event.

    Inday Sara’s bikers
    win in Tunafest MTB

    THE Inday Sara Cycling team of Davao City bagged honors in the 9th Yellow Fin Tunafest Mountain Bike Challenge held recently in General Santos City.
    Ronnie Urdaneta ruled the Junior’s category, while Ruel Casaljay topped the Veterans division. Glenn Yap finished sixth place in the Expert Elite category won by Kennedy Guino-o, also from Davao City.
    The Inday Sara Cycling team of Mayor Inday Sara Duterte is supported by Salvador “Jun” Paholio, vice-president for Mindanao of Philcycling.
    The other division champions were Mark Llorica of Biking Coy (Seniors), Ernesto dela Pena (Masters), Merlyn Mission of CAMY (Ladies), Nino Bag-o of Team Mlang (Funride A), Eugene Alforque of PUMP (Funride B) and Jose Manipon of PUMP (Funride C).
    The General Santos-Matutum Off-Road Bikers Association (GS-Morba) had organized the annual event with the support of the city government of General Santos City. GS Morba’s next race is the first Munato Festival MTB Race on November 27 in Sarangani Province.– LITO DELOS REYES
