Photography Contest
The THE 1ST V12RADGEAR SESSION 2011 (DH/XC WEEKEND) is a NON-PROFIT Mountain Bike Race covering the most common Cross-country (XC) and Downhill (DH) mountain bike racing disciplines. This event is also open to non-Cebu residents’ participation in order to excite the local participants and spectators.
TARGET PARTICIPANTS:
This event is open to all cyclists and photographers who will register.
REGISTRATION:
XC and DOWNHILL RACE
Registration Fee (non-refundable and might be lowered based on financial sponsorship) – P350.00 will include a free race t-shirt and a free early dinner. Note: Late registration fee = P400.00.
Registration will be at the following:
- Online Registration Form (www.cebucycling.com, www.facebook.com),
- Hardcopy Registration Form (Sponsors’ outlets, Organizing Team members’ residence or meet-up areas to be communicated to interested parties or Onsite for late registrants).
Participants will receive T-Shirts on the race day but only those who register not later than Feb. 12, 2011 will receive a t-shirt according to their respective sizes. The Late-registrants (including the onsite registrants) will still receive free t-shirt with respective t-shirt sizes but only after a week.
Maximum number of race participants allowed to register per category = 25 only.
Registration deadline = before the race.
PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
- Registration Fee – Free.
- Registration will be onsite.
- Online registration can also be done in the internet by logging in to cebu cycling forum
- Registration deadline = on the race day.
RACE GUIDELINES
CROSS-COUNTRY RACE
- No registration = no race.
- No race number = no race.
- No helmet = no race.
- Any mountain bike = allowed. Except when motorized.
- Minimum tire size = 1.95”.
- Participants must be at the starting line at the specified time or when called. Absence/late = disqualification.
- Start = released together at starting line.
- Finish = The first five to arrive will be called winners accordingly.
- Race violations such as route shortcut, riding outside the racecourse, etc.. = disqualification when seen by the organizer or any race marshal or photographed by anyone.
- Once outside the racecourse line/banting, the participant must return back to the point of line/banting-exit, otherewise he/she will be disqualified.
- Any outside assistance = not allowed.
- Change of wheelset = allowed during a flat tire but outside assistance is not allowed.
DOWNHILL RACE
- Time trial = Best of two heats or qualifying runs.
- No registration = no race.
- No race number = no race.
- No helmet = no race. Only fullface and dirt lid helmets are allowed.
- Any mountain bike = allowed. Except when motorized.
- Minimum tire size = 1.9”.
- The participant must be at the starting line at the specified time or when called. Absence = disqualification. Tardiness = Released later/last.
- Start = released individually at starting line at appropriate intervals. Recording might also be done here at the starting line or as decided by the organizers.
- Finish = the participant’s race time will be recorded at the finish line.
- Overall winner = the first five with the shortest race time after two heats will be called winners accordingly. The said times will be ranked from the shortest to the longest where shortier time will be ranked higher than longer times.
- Race violations such as route shortcut, riding outside the racecourse line, etc.. = disqualification when seen by the organizer or any race marshal or photographed by anyone.
- Once outside the racecourse line/banting, the participant must return back to the point of line/banting-exit, otherewise he/she will be disqualified.
- Any outside assistance = not allowed.
- Change of wheelset = allowed during a flat tire but outside assistance is not allowed.
PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
- No registration = disqualification of entry/ies.
- Submission of entries = CD containing raw and jpeg file entries of not more than 25 photos.
- Editing = allowed.
- Entries submission deadline = within one week from the event day.
- Entries submission address(es) = Sponsors’ outlets (locations be published later), Organizing Team Members’ residence or text for a meet up.
- Submitted CD identification = complete name and contact information (mobile number and email address) of the photographer.
- Judges = organizing team + requested experienced photographer when available; except the bikers’choice photo where it will be judged online by cebu cycling forum members (www.cebucycling.com/general discussions/mountain biking).
- Winners will be notified and awarded within two weeks from the event day.
- The organizer and sponsors will have the right to use any or all of the submitted entries for any posts or printing including but not limited to posters, calendars and advertisements.
